Job Title: Team Leader

PROGRAM: FOCUS Summer Youth Program
PROGRAM START DATE: Monday, May 29, 2018

REPORTS TO: Director

The Team Leader will plan and implement all assigned programs and activities for the specific youth group. The Team Leader will ensure a positive environment that promotes and enhances the development of youth participants by instilling a sense of competence, leadership, belonging and influence.

Youth Groups:

* Kindergarten and 1st Grade
* 2nd and 3rd Grade
* 4th and 5th Grade
* 6th and7th Grade

Key Roles (Essential Job Responsibilities)

Prepare Youth for Success • Planning and implementation of activities that support youth participant development. • Create age appropriate fun learning experiences. • Ensure activity objectives are consistent with organizational goals and mission. • Coordinate a comprehensive schedule of day-to-day fun learning activities and present it to the Director. • Ensure that youth participants are encouraged to participate in a variety of program areas/activities and receive instructions and constructive feedback to develop skills in program area(s). • Create an environment that highlights the achievement of youth by giving awards and participating in recognition events. • Demonstrate leadership to ensure conduct, safety, and development of youth participants. • Provide guidance and act as a role model to youth participants. • Make sure all equipment required is in proper working order.
